If you’re in the market for a rock solid penny auction website that’s the longest continually running penny auction site since the concept was invented in February 2009, but still gives you the best chance of winning great deals, its DealDash. With tons of products and in-site features to assist you, its interface makes it so easy to get your hands on hot items like PlayStation 3s, Apple MacBooks, iPads and Gift Cards and much more. This variety and ease of use made DealDash one of our favorite penny auctions we’ve reviewed on our site.
A penny auction only lasts a short period of time so it’s super important for you to use a penny auction site that helps you navigate quickly and easily. DealDash allows you to do this with big graphics, a simple user interface, as well as what we found to be excellent and prompt customer service – a true rarity in the penny auction space.
With over 230,000 members, DealDash. is not short on competition for bids, but that size makes DealDash one of the most stable penny auctions around. The members of DealDash are so loyal because they WIN! In fact, the average winner wins more than 6 auctions on average.
One of the best features of DealDash is that if you don’t win anything with your first bid pack, they give you all the bids you bought back for free. This is the only penny auction site we have tested that does this.
What we also really liked about the site are all the different sized bid-packs you may purchase. There’s the beginner pack with 25 bids for $18.75, the pro back which has 50 bids for just $37.50 and the expert back with 100 bids for only $75.00. Each bid costs $0.60, which is pretty standard in the penny auction industry. There’s even a cool custom package where you can pick any specific number of bids you’d like to purchase.
Another cool feature of DealDash is what they call “BidBuddy”. BidBuddy allows you to bid on auctions even when you can’t be on the computer when you want to bid. This is SUPER helpful if you’ve found that bidding late at night is the best way to get deals. Also, BidBuddy will automatically place bids for you within last seconds of the auction clock which we found to be a super cool feature. It’s also a safe way to make sure you don’t lose an auction if you get distracted or have problems with your internet connection as well. This actually happened to us when we were testing DealDash and it saved our bacon! This feature alone makes signing up for DealDash worth it just on its own.
We always find customer service with many penny auctions (not on this site because they stink) is most often a problem. We did not find this with DealDash. You can contact their customer service team via telephone, email and even 24/7 live chat. They also make it super easy to buy bids taking all the major credit cards like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. We found some sites don’t take American Express and this really stinks because we love the AMEX Points Program! That way you get double the goodies when bidding with American Express.
Bottom line: we thought DealDash was awesome, we know you’ll really like the lineup of items, how easy it is to move around the site and how to bid on auctions. Mix in the free bids if you don’t win on your first bid pack, their long-standing solid reputation and large stable member base, as well as the BidBuddy feature and DealDash was just a great overall penny auction site. That’s why we highly recommend DealDash as one of the best penny auction sites we tested.
